Vacuum melting is the best option in that case as it allows for better control of the elements burning and gas and inclusions entering. Duplex smelting combined with secondary remelting is a good way to reduce the amount of inclusions, improve the distribution of inclusions and crystallization organisation of the ingot. Electric arc, vacuum, and non vacuum induction induction furnaces are used for smelting; vacuum self-consumption and electric slag are used as the primary remelting means.
